A “Rhino Safari – 10 Days” tour is likely an immersive wildlife experience focusing on rhino conservation and the opportunity to spot these magnificent creatures in their natural habitats, as well as exploring Kenya’s top safari destinations. Such a safari may involve visiting key wildlife reserves and national parks known for rhino populations, alongside experiencing diverse ecosystems, from savannahs to lush wetlands.
As your safari begins, you’re welcomed by the fresh morning air, the sounds of birds and distant wildlife, and the sight of a vast African landscape stretching before you.
Day 1: Arrival Kilimanjaro Airport – African View Lodge (D)
After arriving at Kilimanjaro Airport and welcoming by your Driver/Guide you will be brought to Meru View Lodge, which is located at the entrance of Arusha National Park. The Lodge is situated at a height of approximately 1500 m within eyeshot of the towering Mount Kilimanjaro. Here you can relax for the rest of the day. Overnight stay and dinner at African View Lodge.
Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park – Maramboi Camp (B L D)
After breakfast we drive past Arusha town, arrive and make game drives in Lake Manyara National Park at the base of the Great Rift Valley. The shallow soda lake is fed by many creeks flowing down from the near escarpment and creating a dense forest with lush vegetation in the northern part of the park. Especially elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, legions of baboons, impalas and lions are domiciled in the park; on the shore of the lake numerous flamingos can be watched. At the inflows of the lake a variety of other water birds is living as well as herds of hippos seeking shelter in the water from the burning sun.
In the evening you are driving over steep serpentines up to the highlands where you continually have spectacular views over the Rift Valley, Lake Manyara and the National Park. Subsequently you will have dinner and overnight stay at Maramboi Camp.
Lake Manyara National Park stretches in the north of Tanzania over a distance of approximately 50 km at the foot of the Rift Valley-rock face creating a natural border of the park in the west. The total area has an extent of 330 km2- during high water level the lake covers approximately 200 km2of it. At the lake many special species can be found: about 400 types of birds, such as flamingos, cormorants, pelicans and storks. But also buffaloes, elephants, klipspringer (= antelope species), lions, hippos or zebras can be watched in their natural environment. Furthermore, the park is famous for its tree-climbing lions. Accommodation at Maramboi Tented Lodge.
Day 3: Serengeti N.P. – Serengeti Mawe T camp (B L D)
After breakfast you will head towards Serengeti National Park, the second largest park in Africa. The protected area was founded in 1951 and is consequently the oldest in Tanzania. Many hills and mountain ranges criss-cross the Serengeti making a beautiful scenery. It is the heart of an impressive eco system with many species of animals like no other place on earth. It is not a surprise that Bernhard and Michael Grzimek (father and son) chose it as the location for the documentary “Serengeti Shall Not Die“. Game drives through the park and lunch at a lodge inside the park. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti mawe Tented camp.
Day 4: Grumeti Reservation – Speke Bay Lodge (B L D)
Early morning breakfast, the we make game drives in the park having a picnic lunch at a site At the afternoon you will head off towards Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. On your way to Lake Victoria, you will pass through several small villages . Dinner and overnight say at Speke Bay Lodge.
Day 5: Lake Victoria – Speke Bay Lodge (B L D)
You will spend a full day in Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa. The Lake Victoria lies on a altitude of 1134 m. It is Africa’s largest lake and the second largest freshwater lake in the world. With an area of 70.000 km² the lake is nearly the size of Austria, and its deepest point is only 80m deep. The lake belongs to 3 countries: the northern part is divided between Uganda and Kenya and more than half of the area lies on Tanzanian territory. After lunch the afternoon is at leisure. Optionally, we can take a boat trip on the lake and watch the hippos. Dinner and overnight stay at the
Day 6: Serengeti N.P. – Serengeti Mawe Tented camp (B L D)
After early breakfast in the Speke Bay Lodge, checkout with a picnic lunch and enjoy a full game drive through Serengeti, probably the most fascinating savannah landscape in the world. Especially the huge variety of wildlife reminds of a natural environment existing thousands of years ago in many regions on earth. Dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Mawe Tented camp.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Ngorongoro Rhino lodge (BLD)
Today you will undertake an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park. After breakfast you are driving through Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After lunch, you go for game drive or optional you can visit the museum, gaining in interesting insight in the research results of the paleontologists, above all Mary Leakey. Continuing the journey we will enjoy the fantastic views of the mighty volcanic mountains of the highlands. Your route leads through dense mountain forests along the Ngorongoro Crater rib, offering fascinating views of the crater caldera. Dinner and overnight stay at Ngorongoro Rhino lodge
This region of Tanzania is unique in many respects. From the paleontological perspective it plays an important role due to Mary Leakey’s significant discovery of the origin of the first hominids in Oldupai leaving their marks 3 Billion years ago. In contrast to a traditional National Park the concept of Ngorongoro Conservation Area unites the interests of nature and humans, for example by permitting the Maasai the land use. Hence they can continue their ancestor’s way of life as travelling nomads. This breathtaking part of Africa (with an area of more than 8,500 km2) demonstrates that humans and animals can coexist peacefully.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater – Bougainvillea Lodge (B L D)
After breakfast you will drive with picnic lunch for the almost 610 m deep Ngorongoro Crater. It is home to a large population of animals, almost all wild animals in East Africa are found in the crater. Here you will go on a full day safari into the crater, where you will have a picnic and get the chance to observe cheetahs, rhinos, buffaloes, lions, elephants and other animals.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its world-famous Ngorongoro Crater is home to almost all East African big game animals in high densities. The Ngorongoro Crater is probably the game reserve with the highest animal population of the world and is rightly called a wildlife paradise. Here you can still see the black rhino which is very critically endangered. In Ngorongoro Crater there live among other lions, cheetahs, elephants, crocodiles and giraffes. The crater slopes are mostly forested, while on the nearly 600-700 m deep crater floor grassy surfaces dominate the ground. A small Natron lake is situated in the crater and occasionally attracts large numbers of flamingos.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area has more smaller craters and extinct volcanoes in the so-called crater highlands, where you can also hike. In the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, there live many Maasai with their cattle herds.
Day 9: Karatu – Tarangire National park – Burunge Tented Camp (B L D)
Today you will drive to Tarangire National park and have extensive game drives through the park. The Tarangire River and the big swampy areas in the southern part of the park attract many wild animals in the dry season. The Tarangire National Park covers about 2600 km² and builds a nice ground for huge herds or Elephants and buffaloes. In addition, birdlife is in plenty as well as plant life. Apart from the thousands of elephants, other animals that have make Tarangire their home include giraffes, impala, warthogs, oryx, gerenuk, lesser kudu and even the African wild dog. We take our lunch at a lodge within the park and later on proceed with game drives. In the evening we reach our camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Tarangire – Airport Transfer –( B)

EXCELLENT Based on 17 reviews Xinyi Chen2024-11-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We couldn’t be happier with our experience with this agency (Isaac) during our trip to Africa. From start to finish, everything was incredibly well-organized and exactly as promised, which made the journey completely stress-free. The agency was highly reliable and exceptionally flexible in accommodating our needs. The value for money was outstanding—every hotel and itinerary detail matched our expectations, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into planning this trip to give us the best possible experience. Our 10-day safari and 5-day beach stay were nothing short of perfect, providing our entire family with some of our BEST memories :)Patrick, our guide, was absolutely fantastic. He had a unique talent for spotting wildlife, which allowed us to see an impressive variety of animals up close. This made the safari experience especially exciting and unforgettable. Thank you to the team for making this such a memorable trip for all of us. We would highly recommend this agency to anyone looking to explore Africa with both reliability and flexibility at a great value. Thanks a lot to Patrick & Isaac! amy c2024-07-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We used Best Memory Safaris for an almost 15 day private safari starting in Nairobi and ending in Diani Beach July 2023. We drove all over Kenya and stayed in many different locations around the country. Our accommodations were all great and our guide, Bernard, was a very personable and knowledgeable guide. We never felt unsafe, we saw incredible things and had a great time! Isaac planned our trip from beginning to end and we were very satisfied. The price of our trip was very reasonable and I would definitely recommend using this company if you are planning a trip to Kenya. The only thing I would recommend to them would be an upgrade to the safari vehicle since so much time is spent in it. dev z2024-05-30Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It last 14 days including 8 days of safari, 5 days at the beach and 1 day for arrival and departure. planning and booking Our contact person for the organization and booking of the tour was Isaac Musyoki. We were requesting for our safari offer very late, only 3 weeks before the 1st game drive started. Despite this fact, in consultation with Isaac we have created a customized journey in less than one week of time. The booking process is characterized by a high level of flexibility. Even special wishes like meeting up with my wifes godchild would have been possible. arrival After our arrival at the airport in Nairobi, Kenya Isaac and Bernard Ngei, our game driver, picked us up directly to start the safari tours. The warm welcome immediately made us feel that we are in good hands. After Isaac left us in the city of Nairobi, we went on our tour together with Bernard. game drives Our ranger Bernard first took us to the national parks Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo West before he drove us to Diani Beach. We have spent the whole 8 days of safari together with him and enjoyed every second of it. Together we drove approx. 2000 km through the country and its national parks. Usually we did two game drives a day. One in the early morning, starting between 6 am and 7 am., and one in the afternoon. Due to the fact, that a safari trip probably stands and falls with the guide, we would like to share some of our impressions of Bernard: a) He is very friendly, attentive and always cares about his guests, which means he is asking if a toilet stop is necessary or if there is still enough drinking water in the car to give a few examples. b) He shapes the game drives flexible (i.e. weather-dependent) and is very regardful about his passengers. Whenever we needed a rest, i.e. after a long trip, he adjusted the time for the upcoming game drive. c) He respects the habits and habitats of the animals. He knows how to provide an excellent view to the animals and the scenery for taking very nice pictures without disturbing the animals. d) He is extremely experienced (> 25 years of safari tours) and therefore gained so much knowledge about his home country Kenya and its animals. e) Moreover he understands and predicts the behavior of the animals. That’s why he is always one step ahead of many other game drivers to get the best views to the animals for his passengers. He acts absolutely far-seeing. f) He does not overload the passengers with too much information about the animals. He doses information the right way and is also a good listener when talking with each other. g) He is cross-linked to so many people across Kenya. It is unbelievable. It seems like he is knowing every person in Kenya. h) He is multilingual. He speaks Swahili and the other languages spoken in Kenya (native languages). Furthermore he speaks excellent English (2nd native language) and also German. Probably he is even speaking more languages that we did not find out. i) He knows the limits of his land cruiser (recommended) and the conditions of the roads. That’s why we always felt very safe. j) He helps in every situation and clarifies that vegetables are washed with drinking water in the accommodations we have been. Bernard Ngei made our honeymoon very special. Every second with him was so much fun. We really enjoyed our community. accommodations We have stayed in high standard tent camps and lodges, that were very clean, provided a wide range of meals and had a very friendly and helpful staff. departure A business-partner of Best Memory Safaris brought us from our hotel in Diani Beach to the airport of Mombasa, from where we flew home with all these beautiful memories in our bag. conclusion If you are planning to do a safari tour, book with Best Memory Safaris. The name says it all. They get a five star rating from us. Suvajit Pal2023-08-29Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was an excellent experience. After landing Isaac was there to receive. Our tour guide Michael was very knowledgeable and experienced. Every stay and food were very good. They even upgraded one of our stay to presidential suite.
