Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha Serena Hotel (D B)

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport in the afternoon. Receive a warm welcome and briefing from the driver/guide, then transfer to Arusha Serena Hotel. Check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure while acclimatizing. Dinner and overnight at Arusha Serena Hotel.

Lake Manyara National Park – Lake Manyara Serena Lodge (B L D)

After breakfast, check out and travel through Arusha town to Lake Manyara National Park. Spend the day on game drives at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Look for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, baboons, antelope species and the famous tree-climbing lions. Along the lakeshore watch for flamingos, waterbirds and hippos. Continue game viewing until evening, then drive into the highlands for dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Serengeti National Park – Serengeti Serena Lodge / Mawe Tented Camp (B L D)

After an early breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. Explore the endless plains and look for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhino, topi, giraffes and other wildlife. The Seronera River supports crocodiles and hippos, while the wider Serengeti ecosystem is famous for the annual wildebeest migration. Enjoy picnic lunch and game drives before reaching Mawe Tented Camp for dinner and overnight.

Serengeti National Park – Full Day Game Drives (B L D)

Start with tea or coffee and an early morning game drive when animals are active. Return for breakfast, then continue with full-day game drives. Look for Big Five species, antelopes, birdlife and large birds of prey. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (B L D)

After breakfast, check out and drive through Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Take a picnic lunch en route and continue game viewing. An optional museum visit may be made to learn about the paleontological work associated with Mary Leakey. Continue through the volcanic highlands and dense mountain forest along the crater rim. Ngorongoro Crater – Ngorongoro Serena Lodge (B L D)

After an early breakfast, drive to the crater rim and descend approximately 600 metres to the Ngorongoro Crater floor. Enjoy game drives with picnic lunch and look for cheetahs, rhinos, buffalo, lions, elephants and other wildlife. Return for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge.

Tarangire National Park – Tarangire Sopa Lodge (B L D)

After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park. Explore the Tarangire River and the swamp areas that attract wildlife in the dry season. The park is known for giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Look for giraffe, impala, warthog, oryx, gerenuk, lesser kudu and African wild dog. Picnic lunch is served in the park before more game drives and transfer to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Airport Transfer – Flight to Zanzibar – Spice Island Beach Hotel (B L D)

Early in the morning, an optional game walk may be arranged around the lodge area. After breakfast, drive to the airport with lunch on the way and fly to Zanzibar. On arrival, transfer to Spice Island Beach Resort on the south-east coast to begin the beach holiday.
